Rooted in collaboration, craftsmanship and sourcing expertise, Burlwood & Lye’s flooring showroom in Chelmsford was founded by a team with deep experience across design, manufacturing and the importing of premium floor coverings.
While our studio is a space designed to inspire creatives, our focus is as a supply-only partner, working predominantly with trade professionals across design and build.
Inspired by the layout and energy of European design studios, our creative hub features gallery-style displays that showcase the full beauty of each product – from intricate patterns to rich textures and natural colour variation.

Plank, Herringbone, Chevron, and Versailles panel formats are all on display, with the option to add bespoke finishes tailored to your project. Alongside our wood collections, we offer a curated selection of luxury vinyl, porcelain, and ceramic tiles – each chosen for their distinctive
design and quality.
We’re also proud to collaborate with exclusive rug brands and provide a bespoke, design-to-order service for clients seeking something truly individual.
Our studio features brush-out cards and paint and wallpaper samples in both modern and traditional patterns. These can be explored on their own or styled alongside flooring and tile samples to create in-house mood boards – helping you visualise colour, texture, and finish in
one cohesive space.
You’ll also find cork flooring, curtains and blinds, fabric, aluminium and panel style wall coverings featured, with opportunities to collaborate directly with our trusted professional partners.
